Hannah Dobbertin

When Hannah was little, she wanted to be a paleontologist. She wanted to dig up stories and then piece them back together. Today, the research and reassembling behind films inspire her just as much.

Her first short film “Seiten des Lebens” garnered recognition, winning the Rotary Prize 2018 at her High School and receiving accolades at the Schweizer Jugend Forscht Tage 2019 and Genius Olympiad New York 2019. She then worked as a production intern at Shining Film AG in Zurich and was nominated at the ADC (Art Director’s Club) Switzerland for the Young Creatives Award.

Hannah is currently freelancing on several short films and commissioned films. Her latest 30-minute narrative film “Sandschlösser”, co-produced by Shining Film AG and blue+, premiered on the VoD platform blue+ last November and was screened at the Schweizer Jugendfilmtage in March 2023.
