Gonzaga Manso
About
A Spanish visual storyteller, Gonzaga is passionate about both still and moving images. Self-taught, he began with photography and gradually moved into directing, bringing a unique sensitivity to storytelling. Obsessed with framing and camera movement, he often operates the camera himself to stay close to actors.
His three short films have earned over 300 official selections and 100 international awards. As a photographer, he has won 30+ awards and ranks among the top 3 in Spain. He has also worked as a director of photography on two feature films.
Born in Madrid, Gonzaga feels at home in Galicia. He played bass in a grunge/rock band for twelve years and loves sports, especially climbing and surfing. Travel and nature are his great passions.
